Why Go Anywhere?

Travel is a luxury. Although opinions may vary, the ability to move freely has not been reserved for all. What does this mean though? Occupying another point in space is warfare. Sitting still is peaceful. What do you think?

I think that sitting still is a humans closest possible connection to peace. Merely a false sense of true peace. Definately not true peace. Movement is warfare, and we as beings are made up of constant motion, even when sitting still. Life is war. I think that our experiences with peace are relative to how we perceive each battle.

Oh, I’ve done the research. I’ve updated the post to include a hyperlink to the Wisconsin Law Review article I wrote on the subject.

Travel is a luxury that that localized government has tried to provide a means to make it accessible to most. Excessive travel is a luxury only alloted to those who obviously can afford it whether purchasing transportation vehicles or utilizing custom services(limos, planes, yachts). Travel is engraved in our DNA as a extension of our curiosity associated with survival is the basis for our current ability to evolve . If warfare is a situation to avoid and movement is synonymous to warfare then movement is to be avoided and idle one becomes. Ultimately we are drawn toward warfare based on curiosity which requires testing our survival skills. One could travel for access but most travel for necessity and survival skill improves. Ideally, you stay idle you deny nature create internal conflict. The mind is more foolish then we think. When the physical is inflicted with confliction the mental can seem infected with devils. Life is survival and curiosity only the conscience yet unaware strive to survive but do nothing to live.

This is an interesting topic. I guess there is a “double edge” sword within this topic. We may have to find a happy medium. Our own personal Zen positioned somewhere between stop an go. If we aim to rmain stagnent we stunt actively work to stunt our innate longing for evolution. If we are driven soley by “wants” or curiosity we run the risk of missing alot of tranquil moments in search of … I guess the ZEN is finding a way to live living somewhere between pause and fast forward.
